Preparing for IKEA kitchen assembly

The perfect result starts with the right preparation.

Assembling an IKEA kitchen isn't just about assembling the cabinets themselves. It's a precise process that starts long before the assembly team arrives. Proper preparation of the space is the key to a fast, hassle-free installation with a result that looks truly professional.

Before assembly:

• The assembly space (where we install the kitchen) must be completely cleared - free of furniture, boxes, old kitchen appliances and building materials.
  We charge a fee of CZK 1,000 to clear the space.
• We require a workspace close to the assembly space for handling, cabinet assembly and cutting worktops and panels.
  Please have the delivery service place the boxes against the walls of the workspace (or in an adjacent room), leaving as much space as possible in the middle.
• The work area and assembly area must be completely free of building materials and furniture.
• The floor in both spaces must be clean - vacuumed and mopped. We charge a fee of CZK 1,000 for cleaning the floors in the assembly space and work area.
• Please DO NOT cover the floor with cardboard, foil or other means of protection.IKEA supplies a large amount of cardboard, which we of course use during assembly.

During assembly:

• During the assembly of the kitchen is it is strictly forbidden to carry out any construction or reconstruction work, as well as the presence of other craftsmen on site.
• We require a minimum room temperature of 23 °C during installation in the winter months.
• We require working electrical outlets and overhead lighting.
• We require a working toilet and at least one sink (a bathtub or shower is also fine) with running hot and cold water.
• Unlike IKEA, we do not require the customer to be present during assembly. On the contrary, we prefer that the customer is not present at all, and comes only after the assembly is completed.
• The cost of parking will be added to the total invoice if the customer does not provide a parking space.
