Unrivalled IKEA kitchen planning services

Most customers looking to buy a new IKEA kitchen face the same problem: the process of planning an IKEA kitchen and getting a design is complicated, time-consuming and often stressful. If you choose to plan at an IKEA store, be prepared for repeated store visits, long waits and having to deal with many things on your own. But we offer you a more convenient, efficient and professional solution.

How does IKEA kitchen planning work in store?

If you decide to design your kitchen directly at IKEA, be prepared for several visits that need to be scheduled to suit your schedule, which is not easy as waiting times can be quite long:

  1. First visit to IKEA - You'll spend at least 2 hours in the store, where an IKEA employee will work with you to create a basic design. These employees are not experienced designers, but salespeople whose aim is to sell you as many things as possible that you don't really need. We see it every day in our practice: oversized kitchens in smaller apartments, stupid cabinet layouts to fill space, not to optimise it, etc.
  2. Arrangement of the space orientation - After the initial consultation, you must wait for a Techwood technician to arrive to survey the area. This can take several days and means additional time constraints.
  3. Second visit to IKEA - After receiving the measurements, you must go to IKEA again to have the design adjusted and finalised. Again, this means spending at least 2 hours with the retailer.
  4. Order completion - Once the design is approved, you must order all components, arrange shipping and installation.

Overall, this IKEA kitchen planning process takes weeks and requires frequent visits to the store. For many people, it's a frustrating and unnecessarily exhausting process, and in our experience, the result can be even more frustrating: you end up with things you didn't need in the first place, such as glass drawer sides (which can easily add €1,500-2,000 to the overall price) or an anchoring frame for the kitchen island (most people don't want to drill into the floor after all, so it's an extra €2,000). But the most important thing is - THE DESIGN WAS CREATED BY SOMEONE WHO HAS NOT SEEN YOUR SPACE AT ALL, IS NOT INTERESTED IN OPTIMIZING YOUR BUDGET, BUT ONLY IN SELLING IT.
